About the Artist

Jacqueline ("Jackie") Rogers has illustrated over 150 children's books in her 40 year career, several selling over a million copies. She has also author illustrated 7 of her own titles, the most recent being "Goblin Moon," published by Harper Collins in 2019. In 2012, Jackie illustrated Beverly Cleary's backlist, including the timeless Ramona series, Henry Huggins and The Mouse and the Motorcycle. In 2016, she illustrated "Our Great Big Backyard," written by Laura Bush and Jenna Bush Hager, a number 1 New York Times Bestseller. In 2017, Jackie illustrated "Little Ree," also a bestseller written by Ree Drummond, The Pioneer Woman.

In recent years, in addition to her book illustrations and other artistic endeavors, Jackie painted a set of highly detailed whimsical watercolor/gouache paintings of the alphabet, sprinkled with tiny playful creatures. Each capital letter took several weeks to create. There's a magical world within Jackie's capital A,B,C's, from skateboarding grasshoppers to chipmunks surfing on flying squirrels.

Expanding her concept further, Jackie created a whole set of beautifully hand-painted lower case letters and began making custom name prints. More recently, in preparation for launching Art'n Letters, Jackie painted an entirely new set of beautifully intricate and colorful lower case letters and a set of numbers, replacing the previous set, to enhance her alphabet collection.

Art'n Letters was started in early 2024 by Jackie and Patti Elliot. Friends since they were kids, Patti and Jackie pursued vastly different professional paths. Jackie built a highly successful career as a two-time New York Times best-selling children's book illustrator and artist in NY, and Patti as an employment attorney in CA.

In awe of Jackie's unique talent, Patti wished that more children could experience the joy and spark of imagination Jackie's letter art inspires. They decided to team up, and launched "Art'n Letters, Inc.," an online store at artnletters.com, to share more widely the beauty and magic of Jackie's art. Jackie continues to paint in her unique, creative style and Patti manages the logistics. The aim of this venture is to Share the Art. Enjoy!
